The short version: Plures is a free, decentralized messaging app provided as-is. You're responsible for what you say. Don't use it for illegal stuff. We can't recover lost messages or keys because we never see them.
By installing or using Plures ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App. The App is published by Bro Exotic Group LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
You must be at least 17 years old to use the App. By using it, you represent that you are 17 or older.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute the App or any part of it, reverse-engineer it for the purpose of building a competing product, or remove or alter any proprietary notices.
You retain all rights to anything you send through the App. We never see your messages and we do not claim any license to them. Because the App is end-to-end encrypted and operates without servers, you alone are responsible for what you send and for keeping your device secure.
You agree not to use the App to:
The App provides an in-app reporting mechanism that allows you to block individual senders locally. Because there is no central server, we cannot remove content from the network or take action against any user on your behalf.
We cannot recover anything for you. The App uses end-to-end encryption with keys generated and stored only on your device. If you lose your device, uninstall the App, or use the "Nuke Everything" function, your identity, message history, and group memberships are permanently and irrecoverably gone. There is no password reset, no account recovery, no backdoor.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE APP WILL OPERATE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURELY. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT MESSAGES WILL BE DELIVERED OR THAT THE APP WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL DEVICES.
The App relies on Bluetooth Low Energy and is subject to the inherent limitations of that technology, including range, interference, and platform-specific behavior. The App is not designed for use as an emergency communication system and should not be relied upon for matters of safety or life.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRO EXOTIC GROUP LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it or by using Settings → Nuke Everything. We may also discontinue the App or any feature at any time, with or without notice. These Terms survive termination to the extent necessary to enforce them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising under or related to these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. This choice of law and venue does not limit any non-waivable consumer protections available to you under the laws of your home jurisdiction.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted at this URL. Material changes will require you to re-accept the Terms within the App.
